Music... Never left behind

I always felt that the Tamil music had hit a pitstop which stopped changing since the days of MS Viswanathan, Illayaraja, A R Rehman, and likes.. But then I just came across this band after Gopal told me about it. This is a new wave of music in the Tamil music industry. The new style comes in from Yogi B and his associated band Natchatra, all Malaysian Tamils. The Lyrics are clean and at times manage to make sense too. Its based on a song from the movie "Nizhalgal" in the early 80s. I noticed from the song and the words they use that the Malaysian Tamils are still very much attached to their mother tongue compared to their counterparts in South Africa. I guess the reason can be attributed to the proximity of the regions or the number of generations that they have been there, but then cant be sure.
Without much ado, I would let you hear the song. But then the music has nothing much to do with Tamil as such so others too can enjoy it. You would love it... For sure.
