Been to the moon and back
Back at Delhi after a break of 2 weeks at Delhi is a pleasant thing to happen. But to see that the place has gone colder than it was when I left forces me to reconsider my notion. My chennai visit was really packed up with lots to do. The things that am happy that I did are
Attend Ashik’s marriage
Buy a DVD combo drive, UPS and a hard disk for my PC.
Meet almost all my friends( I missed a few too)
Bought lots of DVD movies
And the best part was to stay at home with my family (somehow my parents were very furious that I did not stay at home for long and was either roaming about in Chennai or sitting in front of computer)
Now to do justice to the title of this blog I will have to tell you about my journey to Chennai. First of all, my curses to Air Deccan who probably provides the worst service in India. I hated it. Their cramped seats and rude airhostess (“Sonal”, if am not wrong) made the whole experience regrettable. But the best part was the sky that night. It was just awesome. The sky was clear with a very thin line of cloud, a full moon adorning the sky and the lit-up cities and towns right below. The full moon made the whole earth so beautiful. It’s a sight I would never forget. Did I forget to mention that the flight took off 3 hours late? I hate them.
My return journey, was just as eventful as my onward journey. Thank my stars as the same airhostess was there and she didn’t change much. And the flight was delayed by 3.5 hours. But as it was free-seating (which in many cases resembles the hustle bustle of an unreserved railway coach, with people spreading the hand kerchiefs over the seats and claiming them to be their own). I got a seat near the emergency door, which thankfully had a greater leg space but I had to compromise with the angle that my chair could tilt, which gave me a backache.
Back in my office after a break of 2 weeks was a nice thing. And of course I can pursue all those things that I cannot do if I stayed at home ;)
Ciao. Have a nice time.
